Acai Berry Diet - Does It Work?

I really wanted to know if this stuff (the acai berry diet) works. I have heard so much and I kinda wanna try it. I need your feedback....

Michelle says: Great question TJ!

Among other benefits, acai berries help to cleanse your body and boost your digestion. Both of these benefits will come in handy for anyone who's trying to lose weight.

But that's not to say that an acai berry diet is the ideal way to lose weight. In my humble opinion, diet's don't work!

Most people I've come across who've been on one diet or another end up gaining even more weight in the long run. It's rare to see someone go on a diet, lose weight, and then keep the weight off for good. If diets worked, people wouldn't be getting bigger and bigger....

A better option to dieting would be to start making healthy lifestyle changes that you can live with. Even small changes can lead to impressive results over time. And you'll have longer lasting results.

A great place to start is the 8 rules of healthy living (aka the 8 laws of health). I've seen these simple rules make major changes in the lives of others.

You could also try the two meal plan when you're ready. It helps you maintain a normal, healthy weight quite easily. Learn more and read testimonials about it on this page.

Since acai is so good for you, you could opt to use acai berry products as often as you like instead of doing the acai berry diet. That way you'll still benefit from them without the pressure (and expense) of being on a diet.

Hope that helps!

Michelle

Diets Do Not Work
by: Ivy - New Zealand

I am 73 years of age and from my experience diets do not work. At the age of 28, after the birth of my youngest son, I gained a lot of weight. I weighed 182 lbs. In those days I did not how to eat sensibly to lose weight and so began years and years of going on crazy diets. You name it, I did it. There was the grapefruit diet, the egg diet, the liquid diet and so the list went on.

Yes, I would lose the weight and then it would all go back on and then some - it was the beginning of years and years of yo-yo dieting.

Yes, I exercised - there were the aerobic classes of the 80's, going to the gym, yoga classes, I even tried running.

I had always been interested in being a vegetarian, however, did not know how to go about it. Then some years ago, I made the decision to find out more. This decision changed my life. I searched the internet for information and made the changes. I walk and do stretches every day. I now weigh 132 lbs.

Thanks Ivy!

Acai Berry Diet
by: Rob Per

Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind if I chime in. I actually believe in the healthy benefits that can be derived from acai berries, especially in terms of its ability to cleanse the body. However, if you intend to use it as a dietary supplement, you need to use it in conjunction with a healthy meal plan and of course, regular exercise to maximize its weight loss capabilities.
