These are the books that have truly helped me learn a lot of useful and practical information. Information that has helped both me and my clients.
Hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do!

This is another classic book that I absolutely love. It is one of the best natural health books available because it teaches you the true principles of health, healing, and happiness. It is based on Biblical principles and applies to all areas of your life, mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional.

Back To Eden
by Jethro Kloss
I grew up with multiple copies of the Back To Eden in my home. It's the one book my mom always consulted anytime anyone got sick. She made herbal teas and poultices, and we we were always fine without having to rely on our doctor.
Back to Eden was my first introduction to herbal medicine and I still refer to this book from time to time. It's a great little book to have on hand. It's a timeless classic for sure.

This book will teach you (complete with case studies) how simple, humble water can help tremendously with many health problems (from asthma to ulcers).

The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health
by T. Colin Campbell
The China Study is a must read book if you're interested in living a healthy life. It shows you beyond any shadow of a doubt how a meat-based diet plays a role in many different diseases and health conditions such as high cholesterol, cancer, and diabetes.
This book explains the science behind a plant-based diet. You don't need a science background to enjoy reading it though. The author does take the time to explain the scientific terms he uses.
Simply put, The China Study will open your eyes to what goes on behind the scenes in the health and food industries.

Mercury-Free: The Wisdom Behind the Global Consumer Movement to Ban "Silver" Dental Fillings
by Dr. James E. Hardy
Mercury Free is an eye-opening, must read book!
I highly recommend this natural health book to everyone - whether you have “silver” fillings in your mouth or not.
If you're not affected by dental amalgams, chances are, someone close to you is.
Dr. Hardy gives a really good, easy to understand explanation of the history and use of dental amalgams. It's pure craziness, I tell you!
He also clearly explains (all backed up by scientific studies) why these kinds of filling are poisonous and destructive to your health. There are healthier options available!
You may find yourself getting angry while you read this book, but it is the perfect resource to spread the word about this unnecessary poisoning of ourselves.
What I like best about the book are the many case studies chronicling the stories of real people who experienced significant changes in their health after having their mercury fillings removed.
Since reading this book, I've decided to have my 2 dental amalgams removed as soon as possible. My health has not been the same since I had them put in when I was 18 years old.

Ani's Raw Food Kitchen: Easy, Delectable Living Foods Recipes
by Ani Phyo
I'm not a "raw foodist," but I have been a LOT more raw foods lately. I find that it gives me so much more energy!
So far, this is one of my favorite raw food recipe books because it makes eating raw foods so simple, easy, and fun.
I haven't tried out all the recipes in this book yet. But, I must say that the ones I've tried so far are absolutely delicious! Here are some of my favorites:
If you've got a good blender (preferably a
Blendtec
or a Vita-Mix
but not absolutely necessary) and a food processor, you can prepare most of the recipes. Only a few of recipes (7 in total) call for a dehydrator. And, in many cases, dehydration is an optional step. I don't have a dehydrator (yet) so I just used my oven set at 105 degrees F and everything came out just fine.
Another thing I like is that the recipes are quick and easy to prepare. Each recipe calls for only a few ingredients. Most of the ingredients in the book are common ingredients that you should be able to find easily. There's even a handy shopping list in the beginning of the book to make buying ingredients much easier for you.

A good friend of mine gave me this book for a give and all of the recipes I've tried so far are off the hook!
I actually prefer them over regular desserts. They actually satisfy the sweet tooth! No kidding!
