When To Eat Your Second Meal?

When eating only two meals a day, at what time of day do you recommend eating your second meal at?

Michelle says: Great question Dylan! When you eat your second meal really depends on when you eat your first meal. :-)

If you give yourself a minimum of 5 hours between meals, it will give your stomach the chance to digest all the food and then have a rest. Of course you can always go a little longer than 5 hours if that fits your schedule or digestive needs better.

Another thing to remember is that it's better not to eat too close to bedtime. Give yourself at least 3 - 4 hours so that your stomach is not full when you're going to bed. You'll have the best sleep ever!

I've heard of people having breakfast at 7 am and then their second meal at 1 pm. What works best for me right now is to have breakfast at 8 am and my second meal at 3 pm. It's all a matter of personal preference and whether or not you need to plan your meals to coordinate with your family or friends.

Hope that helps!

Michelle
